GOOGLE CHROME TRICKS




We all are aware of the popular web browser Google chrome.Here are some of the tricks that might be        
useful for chrome users.
                                         If you don't have Google chrome, download from this link Download Chrome.

1) Auto-Start Chrome in Incognito mode:

The incognito mode, also known as secure browsing mode where the users browse the web without storing any information about the websites visited.

so here's the trick by which you can auto start the chrome in incognito mode i,e every time you start chrome it will start in Incognito mode

  • Right click on Google chrome and select properties. 
  • Select shortcut tab and in the "start In" field simply add
                  -incognito and hit OK
  • Now every time you open chrome it will start in the incognito mode.

2) Turn website into desktop application

   By this trick you can create an application shortcut for your favorite websites. Simply follow the steps   below. 
·        

  • Navigate to the desired website.
  • Press Alt+F  >>  Tools >> create application shortcut. (refer to the image)
  • Select the desired options and click on create.



·          
For fast access to the website double click on the shortcut created and the website will open up in a separate window just like one windows application.


3) Auto-complete address

There are times when we have to type the same address repeatedly. The Google Chrome’s Auto-fill option can come handy in such cases.

  • Open a new tab and navigate to  chrome://chrome/settings/autofillEditAddress
  • Enter all the details and select OK.
  • To edit the details open a new tab and navigate to chrome://chrome/settings/autofill
Now every time a form comes out the details will be automatically filled by chrome.





4) Load multiple websites on Chrome Start-up

By this trick you can configure your chrome to open specific websites every time it starts.

















5) Pin tabs in browser bar

When we are using a site for a long time it is advisable to pin the tab. By this the tab will shrink to a favicon and the tabs will not be lost when a number of tabs are opened.
  • Right click on tab and hit pin tab.
  • To get  the original tab back i.e to enlarge the tab, hit unpin tab. 





6) Save any webpage in PDF format

With this trick you can save any webpage in PDF format and save it locally on your hard drive. This trick is useful when you don't have time to read the complete page.

  • open the desired webpage and press ctrl + P.
  • Select Change >> save as pdf. 
  • You can select the number of pages you want to save in the pdf. 














7) Easy Text search

While browsing, if you come across some word that are unfamiliar and like to perform a Google search on it. Simply highlight the text, right-click, and select “Search Google for”. This will open up a new Tab and search for the selected text. This will defiantly save some of your time.
















8) Display Home Button

By default, chrome doesn't display the ‘Home’ button in the toolbar.
  • Navigate to chrome://chrome/settings
  •  Under Appearance select the check-box for “Show home button in toolbar



















9). Navigate quickly between Tabs 

Use Ctrl+Tab to navigate Tabs one by one
Press Ctrl-1 to go to 1st Tab
Press Ctrl-2 to go to 2nd Tab
Press Ctrl-9 to switch to the last Tab
